About Me
Hey you mob!
I’m Amelia Rose, a proud Bundjalung woman living and creating on Gubbi Gubbi / Kabi Kabi Country. I’ve been lucky to grow up close to the saltwater, always weaving creativity into my life.
Monday to Friday, I work as a Domestic and Family Violence lawyer for a not-for-profit community legal centre. I’m passionate about walking alongside victim-survivors, empowering marginalised people with knowledge, and making sure they feel supported every step of the way. My work often takes me out into community — bringing plenty of opportunities for weaving, yarns, and meaningful connections.
Outside of work, you’ll find me busy balancing the art I love through Rose Creations, a stack of hobbies, and life with a new chronic autoimmune disease diagnosis (navigating the health system is a full-time gig of its own!).
I’m held up and supported by my beautiful fiancé — my partner of over a decade — my family, and a workplace filled with fierce female lawyers.
Always Was, Always Will Be.
Amelia Rose

Trade Investment Queensland
TIQ invited me into their Brisbane office (and their global offices via Teams) for NAIDOC Week 2023. I yarned with them about the ways in which their team can contribute towards reconciliation in meaningful ways in a line of work where the answer often is not tangible.
