I recently had the incredible opportunity to create a commissioned artwork for One Civil Ground, a Blak-owned family organisation spearheaded by a dynamic brother and sister duo. Their mission is to develop programs that support our men on country through culture and connection, fostering a sense of community and belonging. It was an honour to contribute to their vision with a piece that reflects their dedication and passion.
The artwork I created for One Civil Ground is deeply personal, capturing their family story and the traditional lands that hold special significance to them. Drawing inspiration from their rich heritage, I aimed to weave together elements that resonate with their journey and the landscapes they cherish.
It was a collaborative process, with the brother and sister sharing their stories and insights, which allowed me to infuse the piece with authenticity and meaning. This project stands as a testament to the power of art in celebrating and preserving our cultural connections.
