Acknowledging Country

As an artist, I feel deeply privileged to be living and creating on the lands of the Gubbi Gubbi and Kabi Kabi Peoples.

I pay my respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples — past and present. Thank you for caring for this beautiful Country that has shaped my life, and for preserving the stories, languages, and culture that continue to guide and inspire.

My family holds strong connections to Bundjalung Country on my mother’s side, and it’s from Gubbi Gubbi, Kabi Kabi and Bundjalung lands that I draw strength, creativity, and a deep sense of belonging. It’s thanks to my Elders that I can create, and thanks to my younger siblings — the next generation — that I find the courage to keep going.

At Rose Creations, you’ll notice a special feature at checkout: a space to acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the Country you’re on. Whether you’re Mob or an ally, we invite you to name and honour the lands you’re creating, living, and loving on. Your parcel will be sent from Gubbi Gubbi and Kabi Kabi Country.

Reconciliation is more than a word — it’s an everyday practice.

Always Was, Always Will Be.
